Welcome to The Shaman Nova Universalist Congregation

Shamanism is not a religion; nor are many other modes of spiritual practice and healing. However, because the practice of shamanism and many forms of spiritual healing concerns the belief in Spirit, or spirits, and many consider spirits to be angels, and one higher spirit is considered a teacher, which might be considered similar to God, and since the Shaman Nova Universalist Congregation combines shamanism and the Universalist faith, we are a mono-theistic faith which is a religion. Therefore, we are also a church. For other Shaman resources, try the Shaman-Net link to the left.

The Shaman Nova Universalist Congregation (a nondenominational church of God and Spirits) is a church of Progressive Universalism and Shamanism based on the belief in Spirit including the indwelling spirits of all species and natural phenomena of the Earth under the oversight of God or "The Great Spirit." This belief implies a sacred reverence for all of the life forms dwelling upon the planet, including its waters, plants, land, and air, and for the universe of which we are all part.

Membership in the Shaman Nova Universalist Congregation is either general or ministerial (three classes are active, inactive, and contributing). Anyone holding a belief in God (or Goddess, Gods) or spirit and the sacred nature of the earth is certainly encouraged to join the SNC as a general member. The SNC clergy functions in traditional roles as requested, empowered to perform all rites commonly recognized and enforced by the State. The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Shaman Nova Universalist Congregation.
Information may be obtained by emailing, calling, or writing our minister, Rev. Tony Roberts, Ph.D., the leadership of the Shaman Nova Universalist Congregation.
